i picked up my first camera in 2010 at the age of 15, drawn to the raw humanity of the streets of colombo. what began as curiosity evolved into a lifelong passion for capturing the untold stories of everyday people—their endurance, their struggles, and their quiet dignity.
my approach is simple: a genuine conversation first, a photograph second. i believe a powerful portrait reveals something essential about its subject, a glimpse into who they truly are beyond the surface. each image is an attempt to honor their story rather than merely document their appearance.
pettah and main street have become my second home, where the pulse of sri lankan life beats strongest. here, amidst the bustling market stalls and weathered faces, i find the most compelling stories—ordinary people whose extraordinary resilience forms the backbone of our society.
photography, for me, isn't about technical perfection but emotional truth. i'm not capturing subjects; i'm preserving moments of a world that moves too quick to notice.
